I am using a camera to view samples through microscope, so i was wondering if I could get a software to record the live video. But the camera configured to the computer is via IEEE 1394 serial port rather than normal USB cable. So someone please suggest me about software to rusb camera capture softwareecord using such a configuration.
It's not a 'serial port' any more than a USB port is - you are looking for the wrong info.
(Technically, both use serial data transmission, but searching for 'Serial Port' will confuse things with RS232 Com ports).
It's what's commonly knowusb camera capture softwaren as Firewire, and is the commonest standard for transferring video from high quality or tape video cameras.
Any video handling program should work with a Firewire port, even the basic Windows movie maker software supports it.
