I am looking for freeware or some other way to download only a part of a file -audio or video- and then watch or hear the same.
Normally even when you use a download manager with "RESUME" facility, the part which is downloaded already cannot be run as it is. You have to complete the download before you can view, hear or see the file.
But sometimes, if the file ifile download manager freewares too large you may just like to download a small part and see if it is worthwhile downloading the full file. Or sometimes, you just want to download a part as a sample.
Can anyone suggest a solution?
Thanks.
When a file is being downloaded, it is not done in order. The first information you receive may be from the middle of the file. The next from the end, and the one afile download manager freewarefter that from somewhere in between them. Plus in any download parts of the files are going to be lost and have to be retransmitted, putting them further out of order.
So the "part" of a file you have on your computer may be parts 6,12,33,51, and 99 of the 100 parts needed. So there is no practical way to view a partial downloaded file.
